Additional information:

Biotin is important for the growth and repair of the horse’s skin and hooves. It is an essential vitamin for cell growth. Biotin is present in almost all body cells and is important for overall metabolism, a stable central nervous system, and maintaining stable blood sugar levels.



Biotin is essential for the formation and strength of keratin tissue. This is the material that makes up skin, hair, and hooves. Biotin is needed to form a kind of ‘cement’ that firmly ‘glues’ all the cells in the hoof together and ensures a strong hoof structure. Copper and zinc, together with biotin, play an important role in the formation of new hoof horn.



Horses that may benefit from extra biotin are animals with dry, brittle hooves, hooves that crack easily, and horses with generally poor hooves.



It is important to realize that extra biotin can only affect the growth of new hoof horn and cannot improve the existing hoof. Depending on the growth rate of the hoof, it takes about 8-15 months before results become visible.

One measuring scoop = approx. 5 g.



A 1 kg bucket is sufficient for approximately 100 days at a daily dose of 10 g.
